Board & District Goals

Board Goals

1.   To ensure that the Board’s priority and focus are on student learning and student success in alignment with the district’s strategic goals, the board will:

        -Review a comprehensive report on data related to math, reading, and Tigers on Track            from each building principal quarterly.

 

2.   Develop and adopt a comprehensive, community-informed strategic plan that establishes a clear vision and priorities for the future of Yamhill Carlton School District and provides a framework for aligning district resources, improvement efforts, and decision-making around student success.

 

3.   To foster meaningful, two-way partnerships between the school district and the broader community to enhance student success, build trust, and promote shared responsibility in education, the board will:

       -Increase transparent communication and active collaboration by the board’s                            participation in school and community events.

       -Implement a ‘Did You Know’ campaign.

 

4.   To ensure all district facilities are safe, well-maintained, and strategically managed to support high-quality learning environments, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability, the board will:

        -Monitor the progress of completed achievements of the current plan.

        -Identify maintenance needs, safety upgrades, and modernization opportunities.

        -Assess the original long range facility plan.
